Told through the voice of a young poet collecting memories and reflections in a notebook, A Sycamore’s Psalm explores care-giving, family dynamics, loss, and roots of every kind. Travel with young Nehet – named after a tree – as she journeys through a diasporic legacy of Egypt, both ancient and contemporary, while encountering the history of the Perkiomen Creek and Trail in this gathering of lyric verse honoring loved ones present and past.

The Perkiomen Trail
This section of the Perkiomen Trail is near Schwenkesville, PA. Popular with walkers and cyclists, the trail is surrounded by trees and offers beautiful views of the Perkiomen Creek. Envelope yourself in the history and poetry of its surroundings with this substantial 2.6 mile walk on pavement and gravel. The walk includes a several moderate to difficult inclines.

TrailOff was created by Swim Pony in partnership with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council for ten trails on The Circuit Trails, a network of walking trails throughout the eastern PA and central NJ region.
